UNIBOA's BOARD ELECTION 2006
On Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Arlington, Texas, the United Bassa (Liberia) Organization in the Americas elected officials of its Board of Directors. Those elected include Mrs. Mydea Reeves-Karpeh as Chairman of the Board and Agememnon Davis. Mrs. Karpeh won the position over the Co-Chairman of the Board Mr. Emmanuel Vambram and Secretary of the Board Robert Garguah.
Mydea who hails from Grand Bassa County brings a wealth of experience to UNIBOA’s Board. She has served in various capacities in UNIBOA including National President where she led UNIBOA into significant public visibility and wider service. Mydea has also been President of ULAA and in 2005 she served as Chairman of the All Liberia National Conference held in Columbia, Maryland. It is hoped that she will help to move UNIBOA forward in meeting its goals for the reconstruction of the Bassa Counties of Margibi, Montserrado, Grand Bassa and River Cess. Mydea is known for her passion for UNIBOA and brings fresh, thoughtful and reflective leadership to UNIBOA’s Board. Her strong leadership ability and commitment to consensus building will assist UNIBOA to move to another level.
Similarly, the Co-Chairman of the Board Mr. Agememnon M. Davis is currently the Chairman of the Board of South Jersey Chapter. He has served as Chairman of the Detroit Chapter prior to moving to South Jersey and has considerable experience as an entrepreneur.
Officials of the Board were installed at the Arlington Christian Bible Fellowship Church by Pastor Theo Bessman on Sunday, May 28, 2006.
The Board of Directors applauds the fine job of the outgoing Administration of Chairman G. Walter Greenfield, Co-Chairman Emmanuel Vambram and Secretary Robert G. Garguah for their self-less services and devotion to UNIBOA.
