UNIBOA PREPARES FOR 2009 CONVENTION

Yeadon, Pennslyvania: The 2009 National Convention Planning Committee, headed by Mr. Benedict Roberts met with the President and his top aids over the weekend in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. The President was there to discuss the final touches to key issues of the planning. Among items of discussion at the meeting was selection of the theme for the 2009 Convention, Key Note Speaker, and other guest speakers at the convention.
Mr. Benedict Roberts, PA Chapter President and Chairman of the Convention Committee said that everything is on track and the enthusiasm and momentum about the convention is very high in his chapter. Behind the scene to make sure the President and Convention Committee gets all the helps he needs are his wife, his Vice President, the chapter’s Secretary, his local Queen and the National Vice President, who is member of the PA Chapter. He also said that promises of attendance from patrons and other support base individuals are pouring in and he is very optimistic that the convention will be successful.
After the PA meeting the President, Mr. Alfred Dousuah will be heading to Maryland to attend the Inaugural Ball of that chapter, at which time the chapter’s President, Mr. Emmanuel Smith and other elected officers will be sworn in for their terms of service. The Maryland Chapter named “Amoh Bedo” became the 12th chartered chapter of UNIBOA.
