The Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, Mr. Harry A. Greaves made the statement on February 28, 2008 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota at the Bethel World Outreach Church when he addressed Liberians on the topic: “Whence We Came, Where we are and where we’re going”.

He said the new refinery would increase fuel security for Liberia and asphalt for roads, more jobs, the opportunity for Liberians to learn new skills and a larger tax and dividend revenue stream for the Government of Liberia.

Mr. Greaves also told Liberians in Minnesota that drivers at his company are paid US$250.00 monthly. The Managing Director noted that his company can afford to pay his drivers attractive salaries because LPRC has made tremendous financial successes over the months.

The Managing Director of LPRC who is heading a delegation comprising Board Member Dr. Amelia Ward and the Public Relations Manager, Ms. Nyonblee Garnga, said he came to the US to tell Liberians about the progress made by the company. "We have made a lot progress in the past two years and we want to share it with our compatriots in the Diaspora and give them an insight on things at home."

The Public Relations Manager of the Managing Director and his delegation departed Minnesota on February 29th for Atlanta, Georgia to address Liberians on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
