UNIBOA National President attends LUNAR Leadership Conference

Mr. Alfred Dousuah, National President of UNIBOA attended LUNAR (Liberians United for National Reforms) first “Good Governance and Effective Leadership Conference" held in C hicago, Illinois on August 1, 2009. Mr. Dousuah had traveled to Chicago to honor the invitation extended to him by the leadership of LUNAR.

Mr. Dousuah describes the conference as a learning experience for leaders of Liberian organizations and he encourages continuation of such exercise. He remarks that such Conference will help focus our attentions to addressing the many escalating problems facing Liberian organizations in the Diaspora and in Liberia. He praised the organizers of the conference and salutes the participants for the success of the conference.

In a letter to Mr. Dousuah, the President of LUNAR, Mr. William G. Nyanue commended the President for taking the time off from his busy schedule to attend the convention. He told the President to encourage his membership to visit LUNAR’s website to keep abreast the work of the organization.

In attendance at LUNAR’s convention was Mrs. Mydea Reeves-Karpeh, former National Board Chairman of UNIBOA. Mrs. Mydea Reeves-Karpeh is LUNAR’s current Vice President. She brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and experience in management, public administration and community service. Mrs. Karpeh has also been President of ULAA and UNIBOA.
