Members of the 52nd Legislature are finding it difficult to put across their agricultural packages for their constituents this break.
The constituents want hasty result, like the provision of par borne water, educational subsidy, roads rehabilitation, poverty reduction amongst others.
While it’s true national government is finding it difficult in achieving her poverty reduction strategy, the constituents hope still lie in their lawmakers to smile again.
People still live in abject poverty and blur vision as to achieving the lost during the decade of civil crisis.
The executive, in an effort to strengthen her Poverty Reduction Strategy, allotted money for every county under the scheme ‘County Development Fund”.
Recently the senator of Margibi County, Clarice Jah visited her constituents for an acquaintance meeting as well as informing them of her office’s plans for this agricultural break.
The meeting brought together a huge turn out of youths, elders, women and children who had come to get the message that could change the situation of destitution and rhetoric.
The National Democratic Institute headed by its Country Representative, Alexander Chavarria was also present to give a watchful ear and eye of the scene. The Margibi senator then presented her projects for her remaining years in the county’s senatorial seat.
She named meet the challenge and beauty pageant competitions as key to her achievements in the county.
The senator revealed, this is meant to build a modern resource center that comprises a sporting gymnasium, computer laboratory with internet facilities etc.
Sen. Jah also pointed out that the project is amounted at one hundred and fifty thousand United States dollars each.
The Margibi Lawmaker prayed citizens indulgence to work along with her in achieving this agenda.
While the Lawmaker’s appeal was resounding, some citizens punch serious setbacks at the beauty pageant she hopes to accrue money from for the project.
She said, the beauty pageant will help bring to light the situations of teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS positivity.
“Madam Senator while we tend to embrace the idea of improving our county, we also think this issue of beauty pageant will hinder morality of our young girls.” a resident said.
The project according to Sen. Jah kicks up soon.
This new headline will be ok since I think we don't too much controversial stories but tomorrow I'm having an interview with Rivercess Representative and atleast a senator about the state of affairs there.
